Arbos Jazz Nights series has ended

The Arbos Jazz Evenings concert series was organised for the last time in 2014/15, and for ten years between 2005 and 2015 it has been the most important jazz event in the city of Vác.

The series featured some of the country's best improvised and jazz musicians, including Károly Binder, György Szabados, Mihály Borbély, Mihály Dresch, Kálmán Oláh, Gábor Juhász, Dániel Szabó, Árpád Oláh Tzumo, Kristóf Bacsó, János Egri, Ágnes Lakatos, Júlia Karosi, Áron Tálas, János Ávéd, Márton Fenyvesi, Linda Kovács, András Dés, Tibor Csuhaj-Barna and many others.

The decision to discontinue the series was taken due to the enthusiastic but year by year decreasing audience, lack of financial resources and other technical reasons. However, we were reluctant to make this decision, as we, the organisers, enjoyed the concerts as much as the audience.

The Consort Music Foundation remains committed to high quality jazz, and we will continue to organise jazz music programmes or release jazz albums in the future, should the opportunity and possibilities arise.
